08 Jan Woema – “Bike in jou Taal”
Theunis Nel, one of South Africa’s most renowned actors, producers and soon-to-be authors, shares over 30 years’ experience in the movie and motorcycle industry with us, through his Woema television show, as well as the Woema motorcycle stores.
Woema is all about motorcycles, adventures, and people sharing knowledge and expertise to help improve riders’ knowledge and skill. Woema is the biggest motorcycle show in Africa and is currently busy with episode 8 for KykNet on channel 144, Thursdays at 17:30 pm.
Currently there are only a few local motorbike programs, which are more focused on the experienced rider. New motorcycle enthusiast may find these programs too technical and complicated. Woema, on the other hand, creates a platform where new motorcycle riders and enthusiasts can learn all there is to know about motorcycling.
The Woema show is an Afrikaans program for all ages, and both genders. The content is about different types of motorcycles, cruisers, adventure bikes, superbikes, rider safety gear and unique events, as well as motorcycle launches. There is something new for everyone to see and learn. The presenters are male and female, with ample experience in the industry. With all this and the passion that Theunis Nel has for motorcycling, it’s no surprise that Woema is the biggest motorcycle TV-show in Africa.
The Woema shop offers unique franchise opportunities. With over 30 years’ experience in the industry, the support from Woema head office is hugely beneficial. Good coffee plus great service equals a winning recipe!

Part of Woema’s way in which they share skills and help equip motorcyclists, is by making informative YouTube videos. These cover relevant and useful topics, such as what you need to pack for an adventure, and how to change a flat tyre. Some videos also cover exciting adventures through Mozambique, Dullstroom, Billene and several other amazing places in Africa.
